As soon as I started using DANIEL SMITH paints I felt a new dimension in the work with colors. Despite the unbelievable range of available colors I could limit my palette to 18 colors and that is a great thing when you constantly travel for workshops. Now I got all the paints in a small box and the tubes to fill the box also take not much space. Apart from that practical advantage I was surprised to find out that I can mix now more than 3 colors and it never looks muddy. All mixtures give a beautiful-pearly shades that can be easily turned into something great by color accents put next to them by pure colors. All DANIEL SMITH colors are perfectly balanced and create good effect when put together in painting. Another discovering was granulation. It creates new depth in painting. … not to say about all those metallic colors of wide range that create a spectacular velvet surface and can be seeing as glitter only with additional spot light or sun light! No more excuses – if you have DANIEL SMITH watercolors your work must be gorgeous!”
